2017 RAV4 Ground Clearance
Before taking your compact crossover on any adventures off-roading or through snow it is important to understand what it can handle. One way to discern this is through ground clearance. Ground clearance, sometimes referred to as ride height, is how much space is available between the flat level ground and the lowest part of a vehicle not including its tires. A high ground clearance is ideal for off-roading or trudging through snow but can affect things like the aerodynamics and precise handling on the road. The 2017 RAV4 ground clearance is 6.1 inches on the LE and XLE trims, 7 inches on the XLE Hybrid trim, and 6.5 inches on the SE trim. While this ground clearance won’t be appropriate for extreme adventures, it should do the trick for most casual outdoor outings. (more…)
