How do I make the trip as low-stress as possible?

Verify Dates and Times — Not all light displays run every night. Make sure you do a little homework to ensure that the display is running before you make the trip. Also, plan to wait in line for a bit and make sure you leave home at an appropriate time.

Ticket Requirements — Make sure that you understand how to get tickets and if pre-purchase is required. Some light displays may also be collecting donations which could give you a discount at the door.

Stock Up On Treats — Nothing puts people in the holiday mood like holiday treats. Pack up some cookies and hot cocoa. Additionally, make sure everyone is dressed as comfortably as possible – PJs are a popular choice. Just be sure to bring some extra blankets.

Gotta Go Somewhere — Hot Cocoa and cider are great treats but drinking and eating will mean trips to the restroom. It’s probably a good idea to look into what options are available in case nature calls.
