Toyota changes the minivan game with the 2021 Sienna

How much cargo/passenger space does the 2021 Toyota Sienna have?

Say what you will about what else is happening inside of the global automotive industry, but minivans like the Toyota Sienna are still the best and more efficient way to move people and/or cargo. For the new model year, Toyota gave the Sienna a much-needed facelift that has introduced a standard hybrid powertrain, increased fuel economy scores while also managing to conserve plenty of room for people and things that need to be carried. So, how much cargo/passenger space does the 2021 Toyota Sienna have? Toyota has reconfigured the 2021 Sienna to ride on a slimmer chassis platform, but it will still perform all of its needed functions. Let’s take a closer look at what the 2021 Sienna will have to offer when it goes on sale at Lexington Toyota later this month.

2021 Sienna Interior Dimensions

The reason minivans like the legacy versions of the Toyota Sienna became so popular is that the interior was just as comfortable for passengers as it is convenient to use for cargo-hauling. Buyers interested in the 2021 Sienna will be able to choose between seven- and eight-passenger configurations. Additionally, some trim grades can be equipped with the Toyota ‘super-long’ sliding captain’s chairs. All seven or eight passengers will have plenty of room to stretch their legs and be comfortable while riding in the vehicle.

When the need arises to move cargo, the 2021 Toyota Sienna will be ready for action. A 2021 Sienna full of people will be able to hold 33.5 cubic-feet of cargo behind the third row of seats. Folding the rear-most row away will expand the available cargo volume to make 75.2 cubic-feet available. Up to 101 cubic-feet of cargo volume can be used when the interior of the latest Sienna is properly configured.

Can the Sienna hybrid still tow?

One of the biggest changes made to the 2021 Toyota Sienna is the implementation of a hybrid powertrain as standard equipment. If the items that a 2021 Sienna needs to haul can’t fit in the rear of the vehicle, owners can take comfort in its 3,500-pound towing capacity.
