What is Toyota+Alexa?

Toyota+Alexa is an innovative piece of infotainment and connectivity technology that will be offered on some 2018 and 2019 Toyota vehicles, delivering next-generation control right at the sound of your voice! This system operates by combining Toyota’s already exceptional Entune™ 3.0 App Suite with Amazon’s Alexa, an intelligent cloud-based voice system!

The combination of these two services will allow you to gain access to knowledge and information on thousands of things while on the road, as well as give you the ability to connect to thousands of third-party products for amazing connectivity! This means that you can control your smart home right from your seat, and with your voice alone! Change the temperature of your house as you commute, for instance, or add an item to your shopping list, right from the road!

How do I set it up?

The first step to setting up the Toyota+Alexa system is to install the Entune™ 3.0 application from the Google Play Store. Then, after installing, you’ll need to download the Toyota+Alexa application from the same store. Once these are both installed, press the “get started” button and sign in with your existing Amazon account, if you have one already. Then “allow” Alexa Voice Service to function.

New users are given guidance, or tutorial, on how to use this service, and so it should take over and run you through enabling parts of the application. This includes allowing and denying certain aspects.
