In a recent press statement, Toyota revealed its intention to remove the Toyota Yaris iA from the current lineup, replacing it with just a standard Toyota Yaris. The 2019 Toyota Yaris will be a combination of the Toyota Yaris and the Yaris iA, but with a few nice tweaks to make it all come together. Continue reading to learn more!
2019 Toyota Yaris Features and Trim Levels
While the previous Toyota Yaris iA only had one trim level, the new 2019 Toyota Yaris will be available in three trim levels, which are L, LE, XLE. Across these trim levels, there are many excellent features, including a 7-inch infotainment display, backup camera, USB port, and a cruise control. All these features are standard equipment across the board.
The low-speed pre-collision system is another standard feature, which is great for a vehicle at this price, but if you want adaptive cruise control or blind-spot monitoring, you’ll have to look in a different location. It is not known if either Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™ will be included, as it was in the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback.
2019 Toyota Yaris Exterior Changes
The 2019 Toyota Yaris keeps much of its old look, except for a new excellent honeycomb insert in the grille, and a piano black and chrome trim. Both the LE and XLE trim-levels get 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and outside heated mirrors with LED turn signals. All these great features take the exterior of the new 2019 Toyota Yaris to a higher level.
Pricing has not been announced for the 2019 Toyota Yaris yet, but the current model starts at $15,950, and it can be expected to remain in the same ballpark. The new Toyota Yaris will likely hit dealerships in the fall of 2018, so expect to see it soon!
