The last several model years have proven a nearly immutable fact in the automotive industry, buyers want to be able to integrate their devices into their daily commutes.
Toyota has answered that call by providing a cutting-edge infotainment system in most of its lineup. The 2021 Toyota Corolla will finally be able to count itself among those on that list. All 2021 Corolla model trim grades will be equipped with both the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications. Only the iOS-compatible system was available in the redesigned 2020 model.
The 2021 Toyota Corolla also comes equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot and compatibility with the Amazon digital home assistant.
For the 2021 model year, Toyota has added the Apex Edition to the Corolla lineup. It will use the same powertrain employed by the SE and XSE trims. However, the 2021 Corolla Apex Edition will also offer improved suspension parts, a more aerodynamic profile and optional summer performance tires.
All 2021 and 2020 Toyota Corolla models that are for sale or lease at Lexington Toyota will use one of two available engine options. Base models (L, LE, XLE) will use a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that will make 139 horsepower and 126 pound-feet of torque. The rest of the lineup (SE, XSE, Nightshade, Apex) has a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, four-cylinder under the hood that will produce 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.
